Sorry but I'm not convinced their defense will be as good as last year. Their d-line will be one of the best in the country but overall I think they take a step back after the talent and experience they lost this year

They ain't beating UPig. Guaranteed
I think they may be using Buchanan as a pawn. They're probably getting hammered in QB recruiting by people talking about how they haven't had a QB that they actually developed since Spurlock. I wouldn't be shocked if they do what they did with Nathan Stanley- start Buchanan against UT-Martin and Memphis and people like that- and then bring in Kelly.
I can't see their secondary being as good without Golson and Prewitt. How many INT's did Golson have? Like 8 or something ridiculous like that? And I thought I heard someone say that they were moving CJ Johnson from DE to MLB. So, unless he loses like 20 pounds, they have an overweight MLB.
Defense will get you 4 noncon wins and 4 conference wins. I will not get you past that without a top 6-7 offense.
Agreed. Buchannan is a pawn. He's a silid backup but i cannot seeing them move the ball on sustained drives without a solid downfield passer. Kelly is that guy. But i think he is a bit too much of a gambler. That will work in the last 5 min of a game with their receivers. But it wont keep u in the game for the first 55 min
Wait, The Bears aren't poised for a run at the playoffs? I mean with that top 5 recruiting class ESPN drools over, shouldn't they be at minimum, a 5:1 favorite to win it all? Since crootin rankings are the sole predictor of success.
Defense certainly wins you games but you're talking about the Bears who are the only team I recall ever having the number 1 defense in the country (1993) and still having a losing record (5-6).
