Because The NCAA enforcement staff didn't recommend a show cause for Luke at any time.
People like spirit Ben keep crowing that TSUN needs to avoid the 2-year ban because the players could transfer without penalty. While that is true its not that simple. Yes, with a two year ban transfers without penalty become automatic. However, the COI can accept the 1 year ban AND STILL allow transfers without penalty, its just not automatic. Its been done before.
They are going north of 30. The suit is turning their brand almost permanently toxic - and it hasn’t dawned on them that is happening. 1 year more, 2 years more - who really cares? Their stable will abandon ship regardless.
I think there is an argument for 40 based on the matrix but fact is, they are going down hard.
My guess: 2 year bowl ban and 32 over 4
Now, since it is painfully evident that Ole Miss fans hate children, please allow me to submit a "modest proposal ". We, the good men and women that compose the "SPEDS" make the bet for them and, should the penalty include a 2 year bowl ban,(it will) we cover the bet for them. Clearly, Ole Miss fans are pussies that lack both the courage and compassion to place this bet, so let's place it for there cowardy asses. I, Dolpus Raymond, will contribute $50.00 to help them cover a bet that they lack the balls to place.
No matter what the penalties handed down by the COI, it won't be enough.
Ole Miss ain't making a bowl this year regardless of the ban without Shae Shae. This year shouldn't count as a bowl ban.
Really think when the NCAA knew they had to sneak LL into the "meeting" they were set/obligated to correct the abuse to SA #39 suffered by their deliberate corrupt actions. 3 years and 40.
Of course the 3 year bowl band is immaterial..they aren't going to a bowl for ten years.
The 4 and 40 you speak of ain't gonna happen. Period. So just stop talking about it like you've got some magic 8 ball....because you don't.
Seriously, the NCAA adding just 1 more bowl ban (for a total of 2), plus the 25-30[+] scholarships most people expect them to get will absolutely cripple them. They ain't USC. The level of attrition that is coming, regardless of the increased bowl ban, will kill their program. Plus, it's not like they've recruited well the last 2 years to off-set this cluster-fu<k, so that will only compound things even worse.
They are ****ed. Period. Period. Period. Lets just start to agree with that. We don't need OM Spirit type smoke-blowin' to rile up the masses. If ever there was a group of State fans that should be immune to the bullshit, I'd hope it would be ED. That's why I enjoy this community above all others.
Yep, less than 10 years from one massive NCAA case, they did it again, and less than 20 years after another massive NCAA case, they did it again ( or should say finally got caught again, it started back a year or 2 after). It's so institutionally ingrained, no matter what happens, they will slowly get back to their same old ways.
If the NCAA gives a rat's ass about the student athletes' interests, they need to explicitly give the '16 class the option to transfer without penalty, regardless of what the technicalities of the overall penalties result in. It will be setting a bad precedent if a program is allowed to objectively and deliberately lie to student athletes in order to aid its recruiting pitch and not be punished harshly for it specifically.
Bump, because I am sure the UM faithful just missed it. Surely they are not this soft to let this challenge just sit out here.
Don't forget.... OM released confidential/classifieds NCAA documents concerning the COI Committee members, the date, time place, and who all should appear. Thus, OM forced the NCAA to spend extra money on secruity guards and bringing LL and his attorneys in the back door.
Just because.
