I'm a "stats over feelings" guy 100% and even I knew before Davis threw a pitch that taking out Black was a bad idea.
I am not "baseball only" I recognize that a "good" football or a good basketball season does more to help States reputation than a "good" baseball season. HOWVER, we simply do not have enough resources to be "good" at those sports. Would you rather me mediocre and forgettable in everything? Or sub par in 2 sports and really good and fun to watch in the 3rd? Baseball is the ONLY sport we can be great at and we have been for a decade. Gary freaking Henderson got this team to Omaha. To accept non stop little league baserun ing and coaching mistakes is insulting to the program. He needs to go.
Maybe they need a re-entry rule like Little League and bring Black back in.

Looks like the only regular starter coming back is Brice. He showed improvement also. I don’t see anyone else coming come. Lots of unknowns and filling our roster.
