We had early discussions with his reps but it never progressed past that. We never spoke to him directly. I mean he was at JMU. If anyone tells you they saw this coming, they are lying. There seem to be a lot of coaches and ex-coaches on the board. I dare say all of them could go better than 1-15 with only that last-minute win over Arkansas, aided by about 200 yards in penalties. I don't have the knowledge or connections of most of you, but I know another in over his head HC hire when I see it since the Davis years.
