Paul thinks we have a couple of commits that have not gone public yet.

I?ll be the peckerhead that asks if this is going to be like the ?Maroon Tidal Wave? all over again. I?m excited to see how JoMo closes. He likely won?t do any worse than Danny did.
To be honest my hope for wanting Ole Miss to get nailed was/is twofold:
1. They had to cheat and because they did it in part took away some things that we would and should have achieved. They will in fact likely have to vacate some of those accomplishments and there is no question that that the accomplishments that they did achieve are at best tarnished.
2. I had come to the realization that Ole Miss being on probation was the only way that Dan would be able to recruit to his full potential. Of course, I was assuming at the time that Dan would stay.
The good news on that is Dan left. That was as far as recruiting goes a bigger blow to Ole Miss recruiting than anything the NCAA did. My theory for awhile after hearing about some of the backstories on how recruiting battles went down was that Dan was as much and actually MORE of a problem than Ole Miss paying recruits. MSU landing defensive players like Leo Lewis, Chris Jones, PJ Jones, and etc. seemed to reinforce that as they were offered money and wanted badly by Ole Miss and yet we got all of them. Some of them when Ole Miss was going crazy with their recruiting parties even. But notice very few high end in state prospects on the offensive side where the country club lived.
Even worse a lot of things that the old staff wasn't doing were things that were so simple that I think it would massively upset a lot of our fans. Things like just quitting on a recruit or not calling them and paying them any attention. The bottom line is the effort simply wasn't there in recruiting on the offensive side of the ball from the last staff. And even worse they let their arrogance blind them in terms of making improvements. That's why I was so adamant about getting rid of Hevesy and honestly should have been just adamant about getting rid of Sallach and Gonzalez.
We are slow playing some because the are little further down on our big board. And we feel good about the ones ahead of them.
Good news this morning?
My guess it’s Jarrian Jones.
He is a big piece of the Mississippi class.
Quinton Torbor

Torbor is a stud! Great hands and body control. He won't be the last commit the next couple of weeks either..........................
anybody know why LSU didn't / hasn't offer Torbor?
Would be great if the next commit is Nathan Pickering.
Pickering is going to end up at State. It's just a matter of time. I wouldn't be surprised if it's at the end of the summer. I wouldn't be surprised if it's next Feb. But's it's going to happen.
I see where Paul just CB'd 4 star all purpose back, Eric Gray to Mississippi State. I something in the water this week or what!? If this plays out like the CBs are projecting (and holds) - wow this could be blue bloodesque recruiting. We still have a legit shot with Ronald Thompkins, as well. Not to mention all of the in-state guys. I am beside myself.
I would like to get some of these interested big uglies locked up. Didn't I read somewhere that Charles Cross (Laurel) was invited to the UA All American game, or did I make that up? I won't hold my breath for Cunningham, yet, but Medley or one or two of these other out of state guys seem to have interest. IYOK or Ari, whatever happened with the Edgar-Ndoma fella from TX?
Interesting. Didn't know we were after Eric Gray. Isn't that the kid Ole Miss is after hard?
Does anyone know how the group from Michigan's visit went the other day?
Here are my thoughts
1. Moorhead is "cooler" than many think. He clicks with kids, and with their families. Just a good man and it shows.
2. He and his staff are making a commitment to recruit every day. Never skip a day.
3. We are getting a slight bump with practices going on. Recruits are seeing that coach is sharp.
4. Coach has a staff that builds relationships and can flat coach.
With a December signing period, some schools are going to rise and fall in the eyes of recruits based upon performance. We should be really good this fall. That will help us hold the out-of-state guys especially. Imagine Torbor walking the halls of his school after we whip LSU. Recruits want to feel important. Winning makes their offer look more prestigious. We need to win big this fall. This is the most important class in years to our program.
This class could send us to new heights. It could also drop us back to the cellar.
1. The talent in 2019 in Mississippi is the best in years.
2. We are losing many players after this season.
3. Ole Miss is reeling.
4. Moorhead can build momentum.
5. 2018 season should be great. 2019 season is a rebuild of sorts.
A mediocre class would be a huge lost opportunity. I love where we stand right now. This class could be incredible. Moorhead can't let this opportunity slip past. Lots of talent, and lots of depth. I like where we are right now,
Hmm..
Judging by tweets it appears that Jarrian Jones will be in the boat soon.
I would be interested to know Moorhead's personal recruiting strengths at his previous gigs. he seems to be a guy you'd have a tough time saying no to.
2019 is a rebuild of sorts, but we have some Key pieces coming back for 2019 -
QB - Key as Jr.
RB - Kylin & Nick Gibson
WR - Only lose Dear and Jackson
OL - 2 returning starters (Eiland & Reese), plus Williams, Story, Parker, Suggs as a base (definitely thin, but good)
TE - everyone of importance back
DL - Mullins, Spencer, Kobe, Fletcher Adams, Autry, and if we are lucky Rivers (very good but not elite)
LB - Leo (hopefully), Errol, and Willie as a base
CB - Guidry and Dantzler
S - Landrews, ????
That's not a bad starting point 18 months out, and doesn't factor in any of RSF from 2017, the 2018 FR, or the 2019 FR. We needs lots of young guys to get appropriate playing time this year to be ready for '19.
Ha, I see we can now type "Mullins" LOL
