You leave them alone and don't do a damn thing when they're struggling. There are several EliteDawgs that are better hitting coaches than Gautreau. With Commerce at the top of the list.

Recruiting is our massive failure. We got lazy and can't catch up now. Geaut is close to Foxy level failure too.
So does anyone actually expect Jake to go?
This was a good business trip to Birmingham
(1) three more games would just be work. Let's rest the arms
(2) Auger and Pico give MSU the best #3 and #4 situation since 2016 with Zac Houston, Pilk and Daniel Brown
(3) lost 2 One-run games with near minimal contribution from the 3 and 4 hitters
(4) Stephens needed the rest
(5) Parker sees that he can't stretch CJ and does not need to
(6) MSU can matchup with any National Seed, road games don't matter
Outside of a Super in Knoxville, I think all other matchups would be toss ups. MSU is a nightmare matchup. Even today, MSU matched UTK #1 with the Midweek guy.
I don't expect it. But you never know. Maybe Tulane finally calls him home or he ends up at Rice or Houston.
I'm hoping we hire a hitting analyst from Campbell or somewhere that has an offense like that.
We also don't really know how Lemonis really feels about the situation with Gautreau. Lemonis inherited him more or less. So I don't think they're exactly tied to the hip. If guys keep struggling and we get bounced out of a regional or SR because of it he might make a move. I'm sure Lemonis has some of the same frustrations we all do with things with the offense.
I can tell you also there is an ex MLB manager that isn't a fan of our HC. Says you can't manage college kids like a ML rooster, has to be more involvement with discipline and making sure players are working hard at practice from pre practice to weekly game season practice.
We can all see the inconsistence in our play over the last 3 years although we are winning this year mainly because we have better player leadership.
I hope we host and win the region regardless of where we play. I'm a little concerned with offensive production but pitching and defense has been really good.
Gaut has to go. He's been here too long and the results have been decent at times but not nearly what we need.
Our approach and plan of attack when it comes to hitting is the most pansy, passive shit I've seen. We poke and slap the ball. Tennessee smashes the ball. We're up there looking to "stay within ourselves." They're up there looking to kill somebody.
