But we did. Fire everyone.
This is way more than just coaching. All of these players are soft as baby shit. Not one is worth a damn cent of NIL, not one.
Guess we should have just rehired Mullen.
I initially regretted choosing my username, but it has withstood the test of time.
This is the worst coach we have ever hired (in my lifetime). This dude f'n sucks
You obviously do not remember Charlie Shira. But I will say this, even this coach is human. He's not a miracle worker, especially in year one. As the old saying goes, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken do-do. Coach Lebby has a huge mountain to climb; an absolute dearth of talent in 'Vegas. Arnett didn't have a clue; he was dear in the headlights lost. Coach Lebby is not; give the man time!!
bullshit. Lebby is no better. We have much more offensive talent than last year
This was always going to be a down year no matter the coach. Last year should have been an up year but Arnett blew it. But Lebby not being able to get an experienced DC that could bring a few players with him doomed any chance of being respectable this season.
Arnett had to go. Now whether Lebby is the right guy or not I don't know. Selmon just went with a guy he had an Oklahoma connection with. I don't even think we went through a true interview process. But with all the turnmoil in our program Lebby needs to get at least 3 years to have SOME stability. We can't keep changing staffs every year.
I'm ok with giving Lebby time but he needs for fire/hire some folks. Our S&C sucks. You'd never see this from a Mullen or Leach team. AND D rules ... over O. Gotta have D first.
We have to fundamentally change how we do everything football starting with the Bulldog Initiative.
We should have hired Curt Cigniti. He has Indiana rolling in his first year
the proper hire would have been a successful head coach at a lower level. in the new era there are no training wheels or experiments
Take a break brother. You don?t have to tote that water anymore. They are all fired. BP got what y?all wanted, revenge on Leach.
They lied. The kids knew it and lost all respect for them. That?s what happened. The team quit after the Kentucky loss and wasnt coming back to life till he was gone bc he came In the locker room after that game talking about all we needed was 2 more wins to save his job. Bookie Watson had an implosion and then the kids quit at A&M.
You are trash. Yes the team quit. We all saw it. There was no buy-in. It was old dudes wanting to keep things their way- not having to do something new
The WR's absolutely wanted no part of blocking. We saw it real time.
LOL ... Everyone still wanting to blame Leach in the NIL era. Leach or Mullen would win 6 to 8 every year with maybe a 5 win or 9 win season thrown in here or there. In this era or previous era. They know how to be HCs. They make players tough. They know how to create a good culture.
A lot of it is just talent and desire evaluation. Mullen and Leach can do that.
Leach may not do as well in NIL era, but he'd win 5 or 6 with this killer schedule ... and it is a killer schedule. We're looking at five 50+ pt losses if the best 5 on our schedule unleash on us. And we ain't winning an SEC game barring some miracle.
Then what the **** do you call this?
Arnett sucks and Lebby sucks.
But only one of them lost by 24 points to a G5 school while getting completely pushed around on both lines.
We failed to do that the last two seasons. The reality is we are funding this current roster with NIL money. A lot of it. We have to evaluate better and we can?t pay guys just to fill out a roster. And yes we need to overpay for know commodities and stop trying to play moneyball because it has not worked in two cycles for us. We are lighting NIL funds on fire with this roster.
