Dude, can you not read body language?! This team has told us since mid season that they have no unity, leadership, or coaching. Howland - great recruiter they say. Finally someone mentions the assistant coaches. We have HORRIBLE development year to year... Holman, Peters, Ado, Nick before the suspension, Feazell, Datcher, Q till this late season run... none of them are better than the day they stepped foot on campus. That's not ALL on Howland himself, the assistants clearly don't pull their weight.

If the pitchers on the baseball team suck we say fire the pitching coach. If the WR's on football team always suck we say fire the WR coach. Yet all I've seen discussed here is whether we should fire Howland himself or not. Personally I think we'd be a much better team if we had an assistant that could develop the post players even jut a little bit- like I say not a single F on the team is better than they were as Fr. Fire assistants, keep the recruiting solid by keeping Howland, and go from there

Peters had some today. Perry looked disinterested. Q is Q. Carter was out of it and terrible. Woodard was ok in terms of temperament, bad in his play. Holman is Holman, Ado was what he is.

We had a couple good stretches, outside of that we were the same old laid-back mess with little focus or physicality.

It wasn't based on a NIT run. It was based on the FACT that this team had talent and was very experienced. Look what that got us. Insert obligatory "we got to the NCAA tourney for the 1st time in 10 years" response here..?.

What fact? That we had TALENT.? That is subjective. Experience is usually overrated. We had nearly everybody back from a NIT team, and added a couple of highly rated freshmen. That DID bump us from the NIT to the NCAA. That IS, by definition, a vast improvement. I'd rather do what we did this year than what we did last year.

The fact that we lost our defensive stopper was a killer. Tyson has been great since Nick left but last night he was Casper the Ghost. Just how many layups did we miss in the first ten minutes? Our Big Men had a terrible game. When they got an offensive rebound the fumbled it away. I hope that Perry can figure out how to finish. He let the fat boy block his shot. The fact of the matter is that this team underachieved versus their potential but overachieved versus MSU’s history. It was a historically good team talent wise. The fact that a historically good team talent wise for us is a 1-and-done in the tourney is a major bummer.
