I?m lazy and don?t want to try reading through 35 pages across 3 threads, so can someone post a list of the alleged staff coming with Arnett and what positions they?ll be coaching? It?d be nice to have a separate staff thread for quick reference for everyone anyway.

I wonder how this defense will look with Arnette running it instead of Hutzler. Can’t be any worse.

I would hope we take our time and let Arnette get who he wants.

Well interestingly enough when Arnett was here under Leach the rest of the staff was Leach guys and Tony Hughes. When he was at UNLV it was all Barry Odom guys and Dan's friend Paul Guenther.

There's a lot of rumors about Brock coming back and we definitely will be getting a new DL coach but I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of guys are staying like Dancey, Barnes, and Bell.

I can't for the life of me figure out why Bell is still on staff. I seen where someone said Kelly might stay if he stays on staff.. that's not even worth it imo. Kelly is as lock down as they come but #4 and others might as well not even run with the receivers. You have a better chance of the qb overthrowing or the receiver dropping it than you do them defending a pass.

Please for the love of all things holy get rid of Corey Bell. Unless I'm missing something.

You're right.. didn't even think about that! I'd be all for it.. recruiting definitely wasn't a problem for him. I'd kick the tires and give him a free windshield wash while I was at it.

The people that I've seen that are the most anti arnett are those who were huge leach guys. Not guys who, like me, just thought leach did a good job here. But guys who were very pro leach.

The irony there is that leach himself was a big arnett guy.

Arnett as a HC is. Arnett the DC isn't bad. He's not some elite DC like some want you to believe, but he'll field a top 60 defense and we'll be really aggressive.

I was very pro-Leach, but I don't hate this hire. I do hate what he did to the program as HC, but I temper that a little bit because I believe part of that was pressure from above by part of our anti-Leach faction. Regardless, he's solid as a DC. I would have preferred others, but this isnt a bad hire.
