View Full Version : A competent coach would be at least 6-2 right now

Our NIL donors gave us a roster that could have 6 wins, maybe more with a good coach, but we have Lebbyed it up too many times.

Selmon shouldn't have hired his friend. Selmon shouldn't have hired a guy that half the fanbase already hated, a guy who was always going to have trouble uniting us.

Half the fanbase already hated? Who do you hang out with in your moms basement?

One of these days, you'll be left with no choice to admit Lebby isn't it. Almost wins are full losses

It's not just Lebby but he has contributed his fair share. He has four more games to prove he deserves more time.

I'm good with that. Any sec win, bring him back. 0-16, you can't bring him back. You literally can't do worse!

There were multiple Egg Bowl threads where people talked about what a jackass everyone thought he was.

And not to mention that huge skeleton in his closet that we've all (myself included) decided to forget.

That huge skeleton would have won tonight and last week, just saying

I'm sure our administration will sell it as 0-14-2 since TN and TX losses were in OT. Seriously though, Lebby will be back one more year regardless since at worse we will have doubled our win total from last year. Mark it down. This would be a terrible cycle to hire a HC in anyway.

I think the tides are starting to turn on that. A few weeks ago, he was 100% back no matter what. Now there's a possibility at 4-8 (0-8).

We'd have to have a stud qb on wheels to be 7-1.

Actually, we would just not have to blow 3 winnable games, which Lebby could have done.

We hired a first time head coach and gave him an unwinnable roster in year 1.

In year 2 we've given him a significantly improved roster, but one that still has significant holes as well.

Lebby has been awful in game bad 4th down calls, inconsistent play calling strategy. To me case in point was the last play. Shapen gets lit up on the sack and now it's 4th and 10 with the game on the line. You have 2 timeouts. Use one, reset and collect yourself. Instead you roll it out there like nothing happened, get back to back procedure penalties, and have an impossible 4th and 20.

He's got to learn how to win games. The team plays hard for him, but because he doesn't know how to win games, the team doesn't know how to win games.

That game last night is 100% on Lebby. You burn any clock up 17 with 11 minutes left and maybe your defense isn't gassed. You also make Texas score 3 times in around 5 minutes. That is if we don't get a first down. We could have literally did that running victory formation.

He needs an OC because he is 17ing up the head coaching calls. He is too locked into being the OC and not seeing the big picture.

Funny how much overlap there is between the Lebby defenders and the people who cite the 2019 Washington State vs. UCLA game as "proof" that Leach is actually a terrible coach...
