We're hitting the market at a very good time.
With NIL, revenue sharing, and the portal, coaches that normally wouldn't be on the move now are assessing their situations and understanding the landscape is changing.
Baseball coaches are not known to move a whole lot but that might be changing.

No doubt. Top mid-major guys are going to keep getting pillaged and no matter how well they recruit- cant keep that team together

Do we really want a guy who has probably turned us down before and would only be leaving because he is disgruntled about the landscape of college baseball?

Biggest question, is if the wife is all in on a move from her comfort zone.

As long as he comes here and wins? Absolutely.

You better believe we should. He’s the kind of guy that we need to compete against the best in the country.

If he's leaving to go to a bigger program it means he is leaving to go win a title. So yeah- we should want that

Yes. We very much would. Clif Godwin also will not be taking our job. He has patiently waited for years for that OM job and Bianco is in his last year or 2.

Wonder why South Carolina or Georgia did not pull Godwin?
* is USC spending all their money on Girls basketball now? Short drive to Greensboro.
* UGA was not confident?
* Clemson? Just 3 hour drive
Also, didn't he publicly and emphatically reject MSU? Was that about John Cohen?

No it was about getting a raise and Keith Carter and him being able to brag about how many times he turned down State in his introductory press conference for the OM job. We never offered him the job.
