Are Yancy and Johnson journalists or fans? Are they biased? Are they credentialed?

Did you see my post on that? Here is the excerpt- "That is why I think David Johnson and Yancy Porter are massive losers too. They are not journalists. They are fanboys, but try to act like journalists."

I 1000% KNOW they are fans. They are extremely biased and they should not be credentialed. OM took away Yancy's credentials but for some stupid reason gave them back.

Ok. Just letting you know it’s not just a MSU thing and you guys are slightly overreacting over 2 dudes(losers or not)talking MSU sports. I just take those guys as giving their opinions(good or bad). I can agree or disagree. And I guess it’s up to the school to credential them so they must not hate them enough to pull it, yet. I feel they are kinda harmless. I could care less if a coach likes them or not. Maybe they are asking the right questions if it pisses coaches off that are losing.

Nothing you are saying is wrong. My whole premise is that one of them gives their opinion as that of a journalist and not what he really is, a fan. Fans should not be credentialed. Just my two cents on it. Social Media has given too many people some sort of internet following to think they are a journalist and they speak for everyone.

And honestly, if you're going to ask a coach a stupid ass question, he should be able to call you a 17 idiot to your face. Bobby Knight did it all time. Jim Valvano did it as well.

You're not wrong! But if as a "journalist" you say something stupid, a coach should be able to look at you and tell you that was a stupid 17 question and you not get butthurt and decide it is your mission to be as negative as possible to coaches.

I mean you all do realize there is a reason that Robbie can't be on interviews with coaches on their podcast anymore right? The University has requested that. I know they've tried to pull his credentials more than once but Brian fought for him to keep them. I think Steve fought for him to keep them the first time. He is just not very well liked in the athletic dept and a lot of it is his attitude and the way he handles criticism.
