It is so ironic that he hated making Hoosiers because he thought it would tank his career and it is probably one of his most iconic roles.

He was also incredible in The Firm.

I always think of The Firm when crossing the Memphis bridge. You can see the tunnel off to the side of the bridge the chase scene at the end takes place with Tom Cruise running from the hitmen. I don't know if the trolleys still run underneath it anymore though.

I just watched The Firm the other day, since it was on Showtime or HBO. Great movie.

An underrated gem y'all should check out is Prime Cut (1972), which also stars Lee Marvin and (a super HOT) Sissy Spacek. Hackman plays the villain and his name is Mary Lou, lol.

Ha! Just watched Sissy last night in Coal Miners Daughter. Thinking Tommy Lee enjoyed making that movie with her.

Neither did Steve McQueen/ Now when we play Hoosier ball, pass the ball 5 times, look how dominate we are.

Yeah, I own it, but you should be able to watch it on Prime. It's one of the greatest films ever made.

Fun story....The Conversation, written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, was nominated for best picture and best screenplay at the Oscars that year. Unfortunately, it lost in both categories to The Godfather Part 2...also written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Hell of a year, lol.

He could play the good guy and the Villain great

Or both at the same time (e.g., Crimson Tide, Royal Tenenbaums, the last in a comedic way, obv)

That was very good Hackman role. When I was a kid, I hated him for being Lex Luther. I did not like bad guys.

Crimson Tide was good.

Enemy of The State was good.

Unforgiven as Little Bill he was great villain

No Way Out.

It's the movie that made Kevin Costner a household name but as usual Hackman was amazing in it. Great plot twist too.

When I heard he was found with his wife and dog. I went wait... what? His wife was about 3 decades his junior, he was 95. They had been there for awhile which is never fun. I know all too well.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning makes sense.

Hoosiers might be his best film.

Every graduating college student should watch The Firm. Adult world can be dangerous.

How can anyone forget the Replacements. Man what he did with that Washed up Shave Falco was amazing. Also allowing Strippers to dress up as Cheerleaders was very innovative. But He did know how to use a Tight End though.

Now they are saying carbon monoxide poisoning

Toxicology came back and no CO. Plus, the gas company has been out and can't find any evidence of any type of gas leak. Initially the dog was said to be found in a crate but now they're saying the dog was found dead in the closet. Wonder if that means he was in the closet with the door shut or was he dead in the closet with the door open. Plus, they had been dead for 9-10 days. Just really strange stuff here.

Suicide pact? Accidentally poisoning? Ate something bad? Strange stuff
