If Lemonis can win 40 in '25 with this roster, he deserves a lot of credit for flipping the switch to turn the boat around before it took on more water from the icebergs that were '22 and '23.

But...... they still never should have happened. He got lazy, didn't anticipate how much he would have to portal after '21 because of that weak recruiting class.

If he turns it around you have to give him credit for fixing it.

The portal was fairly new in 2021 and the staff has had to learn how to navigate it. Also our NIL in 2021 was not what it is now. Charlie just started the BI around the time Cohen left if I remember correctly. Also we had no idea that Landon Sims and Stone Simmons would go down either. It's not something you can anticipate and good luck convincing someone out of the portal to join your team "just in case". Add in Foxhall hitting a wall and multiple coaching changes catching up to us and it was a mess.

We are expecting that we'll get one more bat. We are waiting on one more pitcher, Fisher, to make his decision. That could be a couple more weeks. If we don't get him we will roll with what we have.

Agree. We had as good of a 1-2 starting rotation as anybody, a top 10 staff, and blew it because we sucker offensively and at details.
