Bout to have its 5th straight title and 6 of the last 7....with no repeats. 6 different schools will have a Natty in the last 7 years
Also- for the 3rd time in the last 4 seasons- the title series will be SEC teams. With no repeats- all different teams. In the last 4 seasons- only 1 non-SEC team has made the Finals. Simply amazing
We are watching historical dominance by the SEC.

It's approaching Track-level dominance if its not there already. I don't keep up with track but I remember years ago Dudley told me we finished 9th in the nation but that was only good enough for 6th in the SEC and that was before aTm joined the conference. He told me it was pretty much like that every year.

And our dumb fans give no credit to the HC. They act like he was gifted a natty.

Just to add to it - at least 1 of the final teams has been an SEC team every year since 2008. And that has included 10 different teams as of tonight. Mizzou, Auburn, Bama, and Kentucky are the 4 who have not made a final.

Here's to all the goobers who kept saying the sec was down this year when clearly it's deeper and more talented than ever and getting even better.

We have too many fans stuck in 2004 SEC baseball- not 2024.
The 11th team out of the SEC made it to the Final 4

And that 11th place team should not have even been in the tourney at all with their crappy record and would not have been had they not come from behind to beat State. RPI is a crappy tool to use when a team's overall record is 28-27 and even cancelled one of their games.

Honestly I didn?t want TA&M to win it because it feels like how LSU bought their championship last year, but honestly I cannot fathom TN and Vitello there. I hope they get blasted in both games

They showed 100% they should have been in a Regional. They were one of the best 20 teams in the country

I see the Intersection of HWYs 49 and 51 in Clarksdale has been very busy. But seriously players around the country want to play in the SEC and other southern states. I was talking to a former OM player a few weeks ago who is from Cali and asked him why he and others from his city played at OM. He said he had offers from other P5 schools in Cali but they wanted to plat in the SEC. I was talking to the Cubs 1st rounder who is from Mass and played at Maryland. He said that he wanted to go as south as possible.

And Alabama has made it to the finals as recently as 1997. All four of those have the potential to be baseball powers with the right coach. Yes, even Mizzou.

Oh, he earned the natty. He just hasn't done squat to keep us competing for titles since then.

MSU is a big reason why the SEC is so dominant. The fact that we had huge crowds got other SEC teams interested in it. It caused the rest of the SEC to invest in stadiums and coaching.
Back in the day you could play for the USC Trojans and win a title but you might be playing in front of maybe a thousand fans.
With college baseball becoming more and more popular and becoming the path to eventually get to MLB for most the best players started to become gravitated to the league because of the coaching and the emphasis on the sport as a whole. It has created a 16 team monster conference where any team can win a title on any given year. Which is why I think we're a lot closer to our second NC than many realize.
Because there is so much parity in the league I really don't think we will ever see a true dynasty in the SEC. That parity is also why I think you see teams win a NC and then fall off the next season.

And if we think baseball is dominant? wait until next year when Texas and OU join for softball.

It can still be true. Just bc the sec is down (maybe), that doesn't mean the rest of the country has pulled ahead.

It's going to be that way in everything but football and even football will have some runs.

The SEC set a record for most teams to ever make a Regional. That alone says the SEC wasn’t down but possibly better than it ever has been

Nobody puts into baseball like the SEC. Not even the ACC.

I don?t really think that the ACC is as competitive as they are due to what they are putting in. I think it is more of one of the regions that many of their schools are a part of. They have several schools in the Carolinas. I think that there were 10 teams that made a regional from the two states and 4 of them happened to members of the ACC.

Ah but it wasn't down. Go watch video on all the talent in this league. The sec isn't down it's deeper and more talented than ever. That's a fact

It was the polar opposite of "down".
