Since it's now the doldrums of the sports calender I thought it'd be fun to look back at that 2021 run and ask a few questions.

1) At what point did you think that team had a chance to win it all? Mine would be the series victory over OM. That was a good OM team and to be able to come back on Sunday and then shut the door at the end showed me that team had the stones to do something special. Especially after watching booger eater damn near no hit us the day before.

2) At what point did all doubt leave your body and you knew we were going to win it all? Mine was the Tanner HR. I knew we could bridge it to Landon and win at that point.

3) Were you at any point terrified during that run to the Championship? For me at least, I was terrified the entire ND series. Especially after we got down I think 7-3 in Game 1 and Bednar had just been pulled.

1) Only once we made it to Omaha.
2) I was 90% after Tanner's HR but Clark's sealed it. It was at that point I went from layed back in my easy chair to jumping with both fists raised yelling BALLGAME! at the top of my lungs. It scared my two sleeping dogs so bad that I think they both levitated a foot.
3) I was terrified whenever McLeod pitched in the post-season because Foxhall had already worked his magic with him and he regressed as the season went on.

1) Honestly, probably after we beat Virginia. Because by that point we knew Bednar was hot.

2) Full disclosure again- after the last out. LOL. It would have been so MSU to somehow blow a 9 run 9th inning lead and have the game go to extras where we lose it. I was cautiously optimistic when we got up 9-0 and I thought "we have a good chance". As Yogi said- it's not over till it's over. And he is right.

3) I don't know about terrified. I was frustrated at times- when we were getting no hit by Virginia that was frustrating. I thought we should have brought in Landon Sims instead of Parker Stinnett in game 2 against Texas which we lost and it forced us to use Bednar again which meant we would have to use him on short rest in game 3 of the finals and there is no guarantee you get to game 3 in the finals. I mean it did work out and maybe it was a blessing or maybe we just got lucky for once in Omaha- I don't know. That move did cause us to face Leiter with MacLeoud which we really basically conceded for all intents and purposes. I actually kind of liked our match up against Rocker because I had heard rumors that he was injured and I could tell his velocity was dropping. And Harding vs Little- I always would take an upperclassman vs a freshman in that match up any time.

One thing that stood out to me was kind of the vibe around the team from the country. It seemed like a lot of people were pulling for MSU. I was on vacation during the bracket stage of the CWS and not in Mississippi. But people would see my MSU stuff I would wear and make comments that were supportive and it was pretty cool.

1) After we won G1. Have to win your 1st in Omaha to have a chance.

2) About the 4th inning of G3 vs Candy

3) G3 vs ND had me worried. They were hot and just felt like we were going to give up too many runs with our pitching we had left. Fortunately their SP pissed himself in that environment. You could see him wilting out there from the start
