Hujsak should've been moved to the 3 hole weeks ago. I called for it a long time ago.

Yep, man we need Hines and Jordan shake this slump off. Our pitching has just been great. Connor is a DUDE, love his interviews and calmness. Great leader as is Mr Dirtbag!

Jordan has mashed a few balls at people. He just can't calm his mind with RISP. He just needs to breathe and calm his mind and relax. Hines is streaky. It could flip any time but it's going the wrong way right now. Just takes a couple hits.

I didn't think Jordan looked that bad tonight. He had the one strikeout against the guy striking everyone else out. And he hit some balls hard and hit a ball that they caught in the Bermuda triangle that could have very well fallen for a hit. He may be getting close to busting out of his slump.
Hines on the other hand looks like Pedro Cerrano.

Agree, I'm not worried about Jordan much. And I'd drop Hines down in the order vs lefties anyway. Hujsak needs to be three and see what he does. Three hole isn't easy (that's what she said). Hines in the 5 hole seems more logical with less pressure generally.

Tonight I would go:
1. Chance
2. Mershon
3. Hujsak
4. Jordan
5. Hines
6. Larry
7. Kohler
8. C
9. DH
And I would honestly consider switching Hines and Kohler just to keep the L,R continuity. Also, can we please figure out the DH spot?!?! Long and Powell both look lost at the plate outside of a HR here or there. Downs is not much better with the K rate, but at least he might work the count. Pulliam could be an option as well

Exactly what I was thinking. I can give Lemonis some slack for not moving Hujsak to the 3 last night, only because he has been out for awhile and is just getting back. We also really need to hope that Larry is out of his slump for an extended period.

If those two would just start making contact, this is an Omaha team.

I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't move CH. He's hot and comfortable. Plus his being hot should give the 3 and 4 pitches to hit if they will be patient. I would make sure 3 and 4 understand that (They both walk vs Cortez last night instead of strike out if they just stand still).

i feel you on this. too many times i've seen someone blistering hot, get moved up and then put too much pressure on themselves and it all goes to pot. i wouldn't be totally opposed to shaking things up but i'm also fine with leaving him at 5.

Hopefully we can get a good 1st baseman from the portal. Hines would be sitting if we had any other choice. Correct?

I get what yall are saying but we can't continue to let Hines and DJ completely kill innings because they're head cases and refuse to make adjustments. If this were mid-April, I'd agree with you, but there's a day coming soon with a huge spot that will determine the fate of our season, and one of these guys is gonna choke it away.
1. Chance
2. Mersh
3. Hujsak
4. Jordan
5. Larry
6. Hines
7. Kohler
8. Powell
9. Pulliam
Would be my lineup

I would want to see who Vandy rolled out if that was the lineup. I do like a little L,R and going 4 RH in the first 5 hitters might be overloading a tad.

Larry as DH; Powell as everyday C

Powell nor Long can hit worth a crap so I have no problem going with Powell since he's slightly better behind the plate. Don't exactly like Cupp at 2B, he can't hit nor has he played 2B. I would stick with Larry there.

No need to change it at this point. Chance 1st, Mershon 2nd, DJ 3rd, Hines to 4th Hujsak 5th, Kohler 6th, Larry 7th, Powell 8th, Stevens 9th. Thst gives you Right/Left all the way through the lineup.

Correct!! Hines draft stock is sinking faster than the Titanic; in case he wants to come back for another year, if I was Lemonis, I would immediately say: "Nyet, no mas, nine, no way, no how, no way, Jose, etc., etc., etc. . . . . . His days in 'Vegas should be numbered and very much limited to the rest of this season. He is a huge liability at the plate and no better than average in the field. I would think we could pull a decent first baseman from the portal.
