Dante Moore five star freshman from UCLA hits the portal...
Now I know he would cost a bunch, but for a kid that can't use his free transfer and won't be graduating anytime soon, I'm here for it.

We aren't going to be in play for former 5 stars from California.

Pretty positive he is from Detroit. Near where Brian Cole was from. We offered him in HS

I would think he would listen to anyone that is offering the most money, but I could be wrong.
He is the type of player regarding the position and eligibility that I would be happy to break the bank about.

Not happening I'm sure.
But that's ok. We want the market to be saturated.

He was committed to Oregon for a long time in HS. I wonder with Nix finally out of eligibility if he would go back there. Also could be looking at a big deal at Michigan St or Michigan.

Ok we aren't going to get any 5 star from Detroit either so there's that.

Not saying we have a remote shot at him but I seriously doubt many people thought a devout Mormon from Utah would end up being the Ole Miss QB either. Yet, Jaxson Dart is there going on two years. The transfer portal changes everything in regards to geography when it comes to kids and QB never really fell into that anyways.

This is the correct take. Any school can buy any player, period. There is no loyalty or geographic limits in CFB anymore.
Players don't care if its Little Sisters of the Poor Tech located in Alaska, if any school out there has big time $$$ to spend, players will find out & those are the schools that will be in play.
It doesn't matter if the kid is from Cali, Hawaii or Po Dunk MS, if a school has money in NIL, that school is now completely in play. NIL money = Any school, any kid is now the motto.
We need to be on this kid right now! He will definitely land somewhere in SEC or ACC for sure.

Ok..sit around and wait til we get a guy that any of the big boys want. Especially not from being anywhere near here..... but glad you're optimistic.

Lane Kiffin has been the Ole Miss factor. Let Lane leave and some Coordinator or G5 Coach get that job and see how many 5 stars show up in Oxford even for a cool Million!

I watched the UCLA vs Cal game last Saturday. Of course, we needed UCLA to win. He came in after the first drive when UCLA's starter went down. He was awful. Threw like 3 picks one in the endzone. His fumble right before half pretty much iced it for Cal. I know it was one game but he was awful. Had a17 QBR vs a Peter Sirmon defense. If we are spending money on a QB a big no thanks on this guy. I mean he looked like pure dogcrap.

Could be a good player but isn't it basically Dylan Gabriel or bust at this point?

Gabriel, Ward, Howard, Jefferson. I would not say it is Gabriel or bust by any stretch. There are also some other names entering in the next few days that will shock everyone around the country.

He will go B10. I feel almost 100% confident in saying that.

Yes, we need to put all our chips in for him. Parson, or whoever, will have a year to learn. Lebby's offense is not easy to learn.

Understood. Hopefully the cards flop our way.
