Beating LSU in baseball attendance

As has been stated, we don't have the, " hey there is a game today, let's go", type crowd. We can't because of where MSU is. We have to plan it for the most part. The big crowds prove who cares more.

If you scale our relative attendance figures to population/fans within 25, 50 (you pick) miles, we?re blowing them out of the water.

College baseball is getting more national attention and TV exposure now. State is already getting credit for the New Dude and a great atmosphere, but we would get even more with an expanded New New Dude and 2,000 more fans. That would help recruiting.

At some point the NCAA will grant more baseball scholarships or State will find a way to fully fund the scholarships for baseball players, and we will be able to steal recruits from Vandy and LSU based on attendance and stadium atmosphere. Like how Auburn can beat out State for football recruits, even when we were having better seasons.

We need to have every advantage we can get. Getting players drafted and coaching is a big part. When Corbin retires, Vandy may drop like LSU and South Carolina have dropped. Lemonis may be our guy to get players from them.

And as awesome as the New Dude is, it would be even more awesome with 2,000 more fans.
