We hit a lot of hard hit balls that were right at one of their players or we hit their pitcher with a rocket and it went right to one of their defenders.
And for those saying Lemonis sits around too much. He was on the umpire pretty good last night.

You're not wrong that we barreled a few balls up, but the problem was we were barreling up first pitches instead of working the count a little. Agreed on Lemonis, he was very animated last night in the dugout and was all over the ump more than a few times.

ND had 8 hits for 9 run, 1 error.
MSU had 7 for 1 run, 2 errors.
Don’t know the walks by each but do the math and see it shouldn’t have been that much difference in score.

About what I think as well. Not sure if we see Johnson or Simmons but I bet Harding, Stinnett and Sims for sure, not maybe in that order. If we have a lead and Harding makes 5 or 6, I say Sims and have Stinnett for a late charge if Sims runs out of gas.

We both put 4 on base, we had 3 BB and a HBP, they had 4 BB. I'll just add 2 things - while we only technically had 2 errors, we had more misplays than that. Also, the 2 HR very much help put runs across. We only had 1 XBH.

We will absolutely have the pitching advantage in this game. Just have to make it matter.

I guess Harding is probably our best bet to start, but I'm worried about him throwing strikes. From what I've seen, he sometimes has a problem finding the plate. You can't walk these guys. If you do, you're asking for real trouble.

That was because their guy was patterning his pitches- first pitch fastball, slider, slider, slider..
So if we were going to hit a fastball odds are the first pitch was going to be it.

I'd be stunned if we see Fristoe tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised to see something crazy like Stinnett or somebody start, go an inning or two, then Hooty, then Sims though. Keep them completely off balance with speeds and arm slots.
I laughed so freaking hard at this.

He actually has one of the better BB rates on the team. It isn't what I would call great, but it's not a particular concern for him. Somebody like Stinnett, on the other hand, does have a problem there. Even Sims walks more than Harding.

Harding has performed better than MacLeoud and Bednar if you look at it analytically.
I don't know why our fans aren't comfortable with him after a bad start against Missouri when MacLeoud barely gets through the fifth inning every weekend.

Agreed. Also he has better command of all his pitches than Mac. He's a competitor too. I would expect him to have a great game today.
