Leach is back if Leach wants to come back.

Unless he leaves on his own he will be back/ No reason to fire him/

I read an article on msn.com yesterday about some baggage that Prime has with some charter type HS he helped set up in TX that went under. One of you guys might can link this or explain with more detail.

No strippers, wives, girlfriends, or blackmailing involved. The financial support for the school went under.

The biggest issue with that academy was the lack of educational accreditation and the actual teaching to the students. Multiple players graduated from the academy but couldn't qualify for colleges as the HS courses were not accredited.

I just skimmed the article, but the writer implied it was a big negative for Prime based on his involvement. Probably a moot point regarding his future coaching opportunities.

It may be an issue with some schools/presidents. Others probably won't care if he can give a good explanation

So, it was a "charter school/academy" with "public school" type standards?

4. Would help the MSU brand in general. With Dak and Primetime, a lot of kids would see State as directly affiliated with the NFL (what they care about anyway).
5. The market for coaches is competitive this year, but Sanders is usually no.3 on most people's lists. If we offer first, we could actually get him instead of a retread or an up-and-coming coordinator.
Prime would be a disaster here most likely. Sure, it would be splashy, and it may even help with recruiting, but the guy would have to build a world class staff here and he wouldn't be able to do that. Do you want him to bring his JSU staff here? JSU wins games on talent and they're not very well coached.

Not saying to bring his staff or hire Dion but his DC can coach, very good coach. DC for what? 10-15 years in NFL and a really good DB coach.

There's no way in hell we're ever going to get Freeze.
Even if we made him solid offers he's never going to coach at MSU. We ruined his gig at Ole Miss.

We aren't going to make him any offer even if he wanted to come here. He would like the OM job again , but don't see that happening either.

His current staff has more NFL coaching/playing experience than our staff.

I heard a stat this morning. No coach in the history of Egg Bowl Rivalry has a coached been retained after losing 3 straight Egg Bowls.
If Leach loses this one I'm off of the Wagon.
My top choices for replacement is
1. Freeze (pipe dream)
2. Deion
then a long look at the following
Kane Wommack -USA
Phil Longo
Clarke Lea

Most don’t have a clue about his staff. Coaching is coaching at every level. Some good, some average, some bad. We’ve had all 3 at different years.

He started an IMG type of school in Fr Worth about ten years ago. Had multitude of financial and academic problems. Deion didn't run it but the people he hired to run were the main problem.

There is no situation where Freeze is the coach of Mississippi State University, it will never happen.
-
If and when Leach retires I believe MSU will maintain tradition and come up with somebody you never expected. Hasn't it been working that way? Any way, I would go for the Kansas St. head coach. His track record is very good. Which means, they would never ever have him. LOL.
