In Moorheads recent interview he noted priorities at the RB, OL and LB positions for 2019....he then goes on to say that we will sign between 18-25 in the class. We have 16 commits so if it's 18 we really don't address those key positions and our chances of landing 9 more quality players in the next 3.5 months seems slim

Adding nine players to our class is a lot more likely than two more.

I think this has been some of the issue with the o-line. We chase guys that are 3-5 star out of state guys that are more polished and I get why we do that. However, I would imagine it's somewhat rare to pull guys out of places like Virginia, Pennsylvania, and etc. And once those guys fall off of the board we need to go back to Mississippi and take a chance on projects or diamonds in the rough at that position group. See Elgton Jenkins. Sure some of them won't pan out. But some of them will. And then we have the JUCO's in Mississippi as a great fallback option to fill in for some of the misses with guys like Martinas Rankin.

If we only add 18, we gonna be way under 85 next season, right?

Geez dude, the same 100 ppl read this board every day! We know your dissatisfaction at the OL, RB & LB positions. I'm 100% positive that the coaching staff is dissatisfied with it too.

If we sign less than 25 or whatever number is needed to meet the 85 requirement, then JoeMo has a very good and valid reason. However he is not going to sign somebody for the sake of signing somebody.

I would rather sign a full class and "cut" some as needed than undersign leaving us below 85 next season.

Who are the guys we should be watching now? Need to get a little momentum going again.
Mullen and co pulled ahead of us... he's at 4-star avg per recruit now. This isn't surprising considering where he's at

Not surprising given our recruiting has been at a total standstill for over 2 months now.

It's like this new staff is putting forth greater effort with a better process, but the results aren't there yet. It's odd

Other than Ike and Burdine, not much to see. Couple RBs we don’t have much of a shot at. Praying to flip a guy. It’s pretty dead until the end of the month probably.

Gotta flip Gray and get one other. Hopefully we can get a linebacker and a good DB. We will get Sharp, I feel pretty certain. We will also have to keep our class together after the season when the cash begins to flow more.

Stop it. Someone other than Baker & T Buck need to CONSISTENTLY start landing players. Those are two hold overs
Hopefully things pick up.

Not trying to down him, but often times it's difficult to know who should get the credit for a recruit. Does Hud get credit for Pickering? I'm sure Hud has done a great job on him, but that's Baker.
I give credit to position coaches for landing players at their position
I'm not saying that these guys are doing a bad job. By all indications they are doing a great job & the process & communication with recruits is at an all time high.
However, our better recruits, other than Schrader who had a previous relationship with Moorhead, is heavily weighted towards the hold over position coaches from Mullen's staff.
So my point remains, while the process of our recruiting appears to be better, the news guys haven't seen results yet.
