If scoring differential is utilized, your going to see a lot of scores being run-up like it used to be in football.

I like the idea, but the way they use quadrants is not a better method. I also hate when I hear them talk about finding the best 64.... like they really give a shit who the best 64 are. They really just care about money.

Considering how bad we were at gaming RPI, I'd guess it can't hurt?

The biggest thing for us is we have to start scheduling better teams and really avoid the dredges. We'll see if the pendulum swings back, but the message from the committee this year was losses don't hurt unless they're against bad teams, and wins don't help much unless they're against good teams. So games against quadrant four teams can only hurt, and games against quadrant 1 teams can mostly only help.

Scoring differential is included but it's capped at 10 points to avoid people running up scores

Then it's inconsequential. How much better are they going to reward a win by 10 points compared to a win by 9 points?

The basketball tournament selection committee makes the BCS look like the NFL playoffs.
Here is an idea. Let Vegas fill the tournament out with the at large bids.
They have their pulse on college basketball a helluva lot better than the ****s that are over it now
