You know I don't like the gold in the unis. Soooooo, here's to hoping I get to see how terrible the number 15 looks in gold!! Signing off for a while as we'll be heading that way soon. Wonder how well dak would be able to secure ball with his injury. Seems it would make fumbling pretty easy. Really hope he's good to go though. The place would be electric if he plays...

However, I learned something interesting from an assistant that I met at a mutual friend's house last night. The player's number at practice does not always correspond to the number the player wears in a game.

I wondered how long it would take.

As he and our mutual friend go back years, they don't really talk MSU at all.

They talk old times, growing up, old girlfriends and such. However, my friend's son asked him. Glad he did cause I had no clue how to work it into the conversation.

The sum total of his response was "We are ready whether we have 1, 2 or 3 QB's that can go." Interpret that as you see fit. The only thing I found interesting was instead of saying "whoever is QB" he said "1, 2, or 3".

My head tells me its the Damien show entirely. My heart tells me Dak runs out and we see a true MSU legend born.

Man how pumped would we be if this happened? I mean fighting injury and come out and bulldoze the bears in front of nearly 60k cowbells!!! Man that would be awesome. Imagine how loud that stadium would be if Dak was announced as QB?!?!?

Worries me a little, too. If he has a nerve injury that affects his grip and feel of the ball, couldn't the 32 degree weather make that worse? Don't want any further injury or any fumbles. If the coaches feel he is ok, though, great.

Wouldn't mind seeing Russell get the start on Senior night, hand off one time with his good arm and call it a night. He deserves that.
