When you have the roster we have, you can’t make any mistakes in the field. If Tanner Allen doesn’t dive for that ball with two outs and goes to first, Stovall throws the runner out at first and we go into that inning allowing no runs. You have to be flawless in the field and we make dumb ass mistakes in the field way too much.

Yep, right now I'm more disappointed in our hitters in this CWS than our pitchers. You aren't going to beat these CWS teams very often scoring 1, 2 or 3 runs. It was a major unusual game for us to beat UW 1-0.

They got more sticks than us. I dont think the barvers pitcher has as small a strike window as Small does. A comeback would have to be legendary against everythin working against us

It certainly makes it easier obviously but it can be done. I'm not advocating getting a bunch of just good college guys'll. We should Ben able to get the best players in the country. But it's not the end all be all.

To put the talent level in perspective... 2 of our best players are Mangum and Stovall. Oregon state is missing their CF who was a 5th rounder (much higher than Jake), and Stovall couldn't hold Madrigal's jock with a fork lift

Look, if Hunter fields the ball cleanly and Small is there at 1st like he should be then the dude is out. Not sure why we are putting all the blame on Allen.

They play outstanding defense but they make up for it by hitting like big leaguers. They make up for all that by pitching like all Americans.

Bc Allen knows hunter has tremendous range and is playing pull side. He has to let Stovall have that ball every time. It was a huge mistake.
