He did compete. He's just got to many moving parts in his swing right now to time up a fastball

Of that 12 pitch at bat he swung at 6 balls. Sometimes you just have to watch balls go by that aren’t even close.

12 pitch AB is good. But Rowdy can't get his hands out on anything. I don't think we have a pitcher on our roster that could have gotten that out. We would have walked him.
