Per twitter, Small was "nailed" with a bp line drive and was down on the field for 5 minutes. Hopefully nothing bad.

It wasn’t his elbow. Not sure why people are jumping to conclusions. But it’s dumb having a starting pitcher snagging batting practice.

I think he’s fine just dazed. He walked off the field under his own power after five minutes of being down. If it was his pitching arm that got hit, it would be much different. There’s actually a photo on Twitter that shows him sitting down with the trainers talking to him not working on his arm.

Uh...because they all do it. Including MLB starting pitchers, they shag everyday. Unless they are starting or have a side session scheduled...pitchers shag BP
