Kendall Rodgers saying that MSU has some really big time people interested in the job. Some dude with two recent coach of the year awards and that is currently in Omaha.
Gene is reporting that Cohen is in Omaha too. This time he is not just making shit up, he says

No you don't pull France at that point.

Also want to say. This is it. This is the game where our pitching staff stepped up and won a 1 run game. Not just Small but France, Gordon, and Neff pitched a collective shutout. That’s what we needed. That’s the missing ingredient to this team winning a national championship. If we win Monday, I think we win the whole thing.

Agreed. Henderson sucks so bad that we won a 9 inning shutout. Is he great? No but damn the hate is embarrassing especially when our offense scored once. See I don’t get the hate to say you are right. Maybe instead of bitching enjoy the ride. And yes I get some being negative hoping for a positive but there are a few that want to look for blame instead of supporting the team.
Funny thing is that the negative crew will tell you how happy they are till they can shit on a coach or player next game

This is correct, we got bailed out by the other coach pulling DeMers when he still had 3 innings in the tank.
But, we still executed. Neff could have gone 2 more innings as he is a former starter

Amazing thing about the game was Luke's defense. He had part of something like 8 outs and that translated into his confidence at the plate. You could tell at his first at bat of the game. He was looking to make solid contact and not do too much with it. A few of the others were looking at huge swings.

I'll come back and admit, Henderson's decisions ended up being good ones. It's just head scratching to pull France after he shut them down like he did, but Gordon and Neff kept them from scoring, so credit must be given for that I guess.
Washington's staff needs to be mentally evaluated for taking out their starter. The dude was rolling with a low pitch count and would've kept shutting us down I believe. Another gutsy performance by our guys. Never count them out

Agree completely. He knew we had an off day either way. And nobody plays for extras as the home team. If France had struggled in the ninth the idiots woulda been tellin that he shoulda pulled him

France has been very good other than Henderson throwing him on 3 days rest after his first start of the year in a game where he threw 80+ pitches. It was the wrong move but Washington helped us out on the 3-2 pitch and we got the win.

The decisions worked out tonight. I didn't agree with pulling France, but we still won- credit where it's due. Good job!

As the saying goes, most everybody's gonna win 60 and lose 60. It's how you do in the other 40 is what winning is all about. Battling , winning and never losing confidence in 1 run and extra inning games is what champions are all about. Win , lose or draw in this series, these guys should get the Ultimate Warrior Award for the all time mentally toughest team in MSU baseball history. My opinion when all things considered.
