    It can be so gut wrenching. Great Coaches find that middle ground in this arena. I can remember Polk one day in a Regional where this ECU or Coastal SC but Polk had every 17ing hitter taking till it was strike 2. After 2 fastballs right down the middle, then the bender for strike 3. .

    Great Coaches study the opposing pitcher and coach accordingly. You gotta know when to hold them and know when to fold them.
