Jordan Anderson needs to play more. .313 batting average and .400 OBP.

And the fact that he got a bloop single on a curveball last game for our first hit of the game where he did a good job keeping his hands back tells me that "he doesn't see spin well" is bullshit.

I would DH him over Westburg in large part because Westburg is hurt and we can't take Rowdey, Mangum, or MacNamee out of the lineup right now.

Agree that it's borderline criminal that Anderson hasn't gotten more AB's throughout the year, but no way I'm going with Anderson over Westburg at this point. Westburg has 88 AB's to Anderson's 16. 9 XBH's to Anderson's 0. We have done pretty well offensively in the rare times that Westburg and Foscue have been in the lineup together. It wasn't too long ago that Westburg went 4-4 vs UK and we dropped 18 on them. Westburg swung the bat really well vs UF and was on a roll until he got hurt. I'm glad he's back in the lineup. I think he's going to hit an extra base hit tonight.

The lightning must have been quite a ways away. The storms have basically dissipated now, and at worst they should have light rain.

Yeah it was a mistake. Dude has made a ton of good plays at short for us this year. We don't have anyone better for that position. He'll be playing there next year too. Billingsly imploded after he didn't execute the first pick then got called for the balk on the second. Picking out one thing in that inning to blame on the whole fiasco would be the bogus balk call.

On top of that he had two hits and an obviously huge 2 out RBI. Don't let your personal hate for him blind you
I doubt he starts there next year.

Tenn tech goes back-to-back HR in 3rd to tie it 2-2. Who is their head coach? He's doing a great job there

Ole Miss & Tenn Tech are tied 2-2 in the 3rd.

Tech can swing it & have a 92-94 mph pitcher out there. Wouldn't be shocked to see them give OM trouble today

There may be some funny business going on there, but I could care less today.

Just a word of caution: whenever you see a mid-major go on a HR binge, be skeptical

Whenever you see a D1 player, Kody Clemens, massively increase their HR production we above their career average, be skeptical.

Agreed. I’d of started him today instead of Vansau. Couldn’t of done worse then that 0-4 performance and I bet he gets that bunt down.

    yes we could.

When the power production or velocity does not match the ingredients (bat speed, arm speed, strength, athleticism, twitchiness, flexibility, etc) of the player, be skeptical. You hate making assumptions without proof, but, when it comes to baseball players, it's normally true

Could be a number of different things. Doesn't really matter what the "thing" is to me. Just matters to me whether or not the production = the actual player's natural abilities

Barring an unforeseen injury or him not being on the team for whatever reason I'd bet he starts there next year.

It's baseball. Think our best baseball player ever at state, and I don't think it's the thrill

Anybody know the status of when our game will start? Even though the storms were a bust, could it be tied to television times?

Should be an hour into our game but poor decision by officials and coaches have delayed for it for no reason.
