Samford has a better pitching staff than we do. Let that sink in. That is unacceptable. Cohen and Canny blew it with the pitching recruiting. TJ hurt us, but even the guys back from it haven't been good outside of Small

Pilk has a chance to play in the majors if he gets some coaching in the minors

Anderson is the better bunter. Hatcher has hr power. No reason whatsoever to even play Vansau. Hell even Poole is a better bunter.

Vansau shouldn’t have been ln the lineup today to begin with..
And if the kid can’t bunt which obviously he can’t which is bullshit , you PH Anderson there.
**** you Henderson and Vansau doesn’t need to play anymore

Meh, we'll end up winning this one prolly like 10-6. We'll pretty much hold them in check the rest of the way while either having a 5 run explosion or a 3 & 2 left in us. But I agree with a previous poster saying we don't have anything left for OU.

Wes Johnson was the worst thing for our baseball program in the last decade. He put us in a 3 year hole.

Anderson and Poole can both bunt which Vansau can't.

Baseball threads are hysterical. Expecting anything different from jb at this point is insanity. The guy is who he is and is keeping us in the game. We have known for a while now our pitching staff isn’t very good. Expecting something different after seeing it for the entire season is crazy. The fact that we are where we are is rather shocking. Just enjoy the fact that we are still playing ball.
We have a new proven coach coming in and he hasn’t a good core of players to build the team around. It won’t be a complete rebuild and we should be competitive almost immediately if he can get some arms.

Completely disagree. If Wes was still here, we'd be in a much, much better situation than we currently are. I cannot understate this.
The worst thing that happened to this pitching staff is poor recruiting.

Meh, they don’t have a better staff then us. They are just playing this game like it’s their last and we are rolling the dice with Billingsley. I still like James, France, Neff, Smith and if we make it to tomorrow we could have Self go tomorrow. We are limited and the TJ injuries really killed us but we have just as much if not more then they do.

I haven't understood our positional recruiting since we lost to UCLA in the title series. Rooker is the exception not the rule with our recruiting. It's like Cohen can't get that loss out of his head and recruited for 5 years to beat that same UCLA team if he ever played them again. Then he told Cann to keep that same recruiting strategy.

I'm sure everyone here remembers Ryan Rigby. This guy from Samford made me
think about him. I went and looked his stats up this year at West Alabama. He had an era of 32.40. YES, 32.40. Pitched 3.1 innings and gave up 12 earned runs.

It's sad that we have runners on 2nd and 3rd and I'm thinking of ways we'll screw it up

We have a great core of young players and will have some instant impact arms coming in next year too. Schloss will win with this team next year.
