Sports betting coming to MS??
http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id...ports-gambling
I don't see why not allow the casinos to add sports wagering..
-
Choctaw casinos in Philly should be all over this

I believe Tunica already started preparing for this last year. I have moved away, but that's what I heard through he grapevine. Hoping it's in place before I get back for the summer. I need some futures for the dawgs.

Mississippi has already approved sports betting. They are just waiting on the Supreme Court to rule.
-
Just hope we can get it enacted before the bluehairs and baptists mobilize against it.

Supreme Court ruled to allow it. It’s happening. Sportsbooks will bring a ton of money for our politicians to screw up. It should be noted that real serious gamblers will still run their action through their books of choice. $20k on the Celtics is only a $15k check from the casina after Uncle Sam gets his cut.

I agree, but for small timers like me, this is a big deal. I only wager b/w $25-$200 per game and always less than 5 or so games a week. I'd like to be able to do this legally.

Not really. They can just open up shops across the country and expand their footprint now.

Only in states that has legalize gambling and allows sports betting. Those state already have casinos and the gaming commission will protect existing casinos. They can also forget the Indian Reservations. They are not going to give up any money.
It's not like they can set up shop where they want.

They can set up shops in states where it is legalized, and the majority of existing casinos are owned by Vegas companies. They just get even more revenue now.

I guess Vegas and Nevada isn't worried about losing tax revenue.
