I thought Bost put his name in, then didn't remove it by the deadline after getting his grade. We appealed and he missed some games due to that and not keeping his grades up??? Has the process changed that much since then?
Fun fact - Dee Bost has become a Bulgarian citizen and plays on their National Team

I bet Nick and Q also gontjr same route just to see what kind of grade they will get .

This is exactly what happened and he had to sit out like 10-12 games cause of it. I believe the deadline has been pushed back since then though so basically the player has no excuse now to miss the deadline (not like they had an excuse before but they REALLY don't have one now).

I certainly don't want to lose Peters. How does Calipari do this every year? Gotta be nerve wracking for the coach waiting on the player to tell them what they are doing for the next year.

Maybe Q but not Nick. I thought you can only do this once.

Calipari wants them to leave. He basically pushes them out the door.

If there is a question of will they be drafted, I am sure Cal thinks he can upgrade

Yea I get that and most don't get the luxury of 4 years before he'll make them leave like Wiltjer a couple years ago but they don't all go pro after just 1 or 2 years so he's got this figured out better than most. Of course he also has plenty of 5* just waiting to sign up so it's not exactly difficult for him. We lose Peters it's going to really hurt with only Nick as our PG on the team. We lose both we'll be devastated. Not trying to add panic here. Sorry.

No one's panicking. There's about a 10% chance Peters leaves and about a 2% chance they both leave.

There’s a big difference between what one and dones do and what Peters is doing. They changed the rules so A) you can actually go through the pre-draft camp and meet with individual teams to be evaluated, and B) they extended the deadline to remove yourself from the draft until after these things take place so you can have an accurate account of what you need to improve on to get drafted the next year. Look at Peters tweet. He’s entering the draft so his skills can be evaluated. This is so he knows what to work on next year to be a First Round pick in 2019. There’s about I’d say a 5% chance he’s staying in and the only reason he would is because some team guaranteed he’d be taken in the first round. In that case, he should go. I’m sure Howland encouraged him to get evaluated. There is only upside with that.

I can't see any way Peters makes the jump yet.. but great idea to go ahead and get feedback..pretty much signals he is gone after next year which we expect.

I expect both he and Nick W will be gone after next year and both will be first round picks. Depending on what impact Perry has, he could be a one and done or at most a two year guy. In the 2019 and 2020 drafts, we could have at least three taken in the first round and one of those three a lottery selection (Perry). Pretty good if you ask me.

It seems like there is a proliferation of players going this route this year...someone is really gonna have to stand out to get a decent grade for getting drafted. Lots of players contending for a very few slots.

2 first rounds picks should equate to a monstrous year..

Competing for an SEC championship and getting a top four seed in the NCAA tournament is what I expect next year. What we do in the tournament will depend on matchups but we could do something similar to what Auburn and Tennessee did this year in the regular season next year.

Hopefully he doesn't sign any sponsorship deals for Coffee though..
