Is the reason the men don't shoot free throws well because the players are all used to playing AAU ball, with it's slam dunks and from-the-cheap-seats three pointers? I know each team only has a limited amount of time for a coach to coach the players. That means the players have to learn free throws often on their own, shoot them after everybody has gone home.
My guess is that the last thing these guys want to do after a hard practice, is work on their free throws.

Another thing I notice is that the men refs call the tickytack fouls, while the refs let the girls play in their game.

It's because the OM players aren't AAU superstars, and are taught the fundamentals by their high school coaches.

X is a black hole. If he gets the ball, 95% of the time he's going to shoot. They're not always terrible shots, but he never looks for anyone who might have a better one.

Need to attack the rim...can't get into a shooting contest with these guys.

Still don't see us winning more than 7-8 SEC games. Play good defense but we are at such a disadvantage in perimeter shooting and FT shooting.

Should be running wind sprints for jacking up a 3 and then falling away. Follow up your shot by 2 steps and he has the easy long rebound.
