He would be entertaining. Can't see Cohen going that direction.

Yea and from everything I've read the kid and his father were perpetual shitheads and were hated by the team and fans. He messed up but there's always more to the story.

He didn't mess up. The player was trying to get out of practice by claiming a headache, so Leach say "well if you have a headache OK, but you need to treat that properly."
He discusses the incident in his book, and the player himself corroborates his story. It's only Lyin' Craig (who got his ass kicked by Ted Cruz in his brief political career) who tried to twist it out of proportion.

He is the Bobby Knight of CFB minus the championships. All he would bring is a bunch of points in blowouts wins, stupid losses, and public shame and embarrassment.

Yeah, I'm still waiting to hear a coherent reason why the small minority of Leachhaters feel that way. I'm fine with opposing opinions, I just think there should be some kind of reason beyond a knee-jerk "he's a nerd!!" no.
Any myths about his offense not being a good fit for our roster or "he doesn't play defense!" are easily disproven.

Yes and the prick deserved it.

Love the guy, but don't want him coaching our team. I watched Wazzu play in the Apple Cup yesterday, they got demolished because Washington was able to get pressure with 3 and drop 8 into coverage. And they've pretty much done that every year for the past 3 years. That pretty much eliminates us ever beating LSU or Bama considering they always have very good D lines, and we're pretty much guaranteed to run into 1 or 2 other SEC teams per year with a good D line.
Edit: and that's ignoring the fact he's never even really had an average defense until this year.

Points in blowout wins are a good thing, he has very few "stupid losses" (no more than any other coach we're considering), and there's nothing even remotely shameful or embarrassing about him.
Also, can a mod merge all of the Leach threads into a single thread?

In the past 3 seasons he's lost to Portland State and Eastern Washington. I would consider those a step further into "stupid loss" territory than losing to South Alabama was.

Entertaining doesn't necessarily mean winning football games in the SEC West, though.

yes and he is a nut job. Leach would play terrible in the traditional south with his absurdities and stupidity. Never been close to a top team in a real conference.

Pretty sure he's a big Trump supporter so might be a better fit in the traditional south than you think
