I’m calling bullshit on the “ learn to hit with his body, are you kidding? Do you really think it’s that fvcking easy, again bullshit! If your calling for this you have obviously never played a down of defense any where above the 7th grade level. You are coming full speed hell bent to wear out a moving target trying to make a tackle to change a game your struggling in. But your supposed “lead with you body. No. Kid made a football play and QBs head comes down at contact and their heads hit, shit happens. If he goes low its a personal foul so how are supposed to hit the guy?

He targeted too high. Coaches all over the country are teaching not leading with head and targeting the players body. Pretty common in today’s game. He had about 18 strides to pick a spot and he launched himself high. It was dumb. I think most of the targeting is bullshit but this was to the letter of the rule.

Spot on. How difficult is it to aim for the midsection. Geez. Come on! It's the largest part of your target! It's just stupid.

They used to allow clotheslining when Butkus played...they made that against the rules and players adapted. Personally I wish they could still clothesline but that’s just me...

This. You can make all kinds of rules but you can?t hange the laws of physics. At the end of the day I would rather get a few of these calls a game and field a badass defense than have some ***** Sirmon defense that doesn?t get targeting calls because they are afraid to lay a helmet on someone.

Like the physicality. It's just better than hawk wrangling.
