Softball...
Noticed our girls are on a 14 game winning streak. Are we doing better than a lot of you expected or are we just playing a lot of really crappy teams?

Last year we were 23-10 non conference and 3-21 in SEC play. We'll see what happens when SEC play starts.

Well we are 18-3 against non conference teams so far this year. So maybe we are better unless we just played a tougher OOC schedule last year.

Our schedule has been really bad. I think we have a legit shot to finish last in the SEC.

According to my astute softball friend....
21 games. None of the opponents currently the top 25.
Probably 3 at best 4 games against decent teams.
This weekend at undefeated and No. 5 Texas AM.

Yeah, there was a thread on here last week that discussed how we're one of 2 teams in the SEC that aren't ranked. I wouldn't get your hopes up. The LSUs and Floridas of the softball world will be kicking our teeth in soon enough.

As long as the clown princess of softball is our coach we won't win big. Ole Miss flew past us in softball by hiring a coach that recruits nationally, not just from her friends travel ball teams. Yeah she signed a good class. Now it comes down to coaching. We didn't steal her from Alabama. Pat Murphy had let her go before we hired her

Mike Smith (who is an a-hole) is trying like hell to get out of OM. He's looking to move back west. And he does indeed recruit from his friends' travel teams. But when your friends are in California, and named Mike Stith, that's a huge plus. Vann (who I don't care for) has gotten us in with one of the top travel organizations in the country in the Thunderbolts. Nothing wrong with that. Just need more connections.

Time's up for Stoodaman. I thought she'd win big but she ain't got the goods. She's got a big senior class that's been with her a while. I'd fire her if she finishes last again.

Actually he let her go. Then hired her back then we did hire her away.

Murphy took the LSU job and Vann was up for HC. It was basically done and Murphy backed out of the LSU job. He came back, Vann got mad and he told her to hit the road.
We suck at hitting. Worst hitting I've ever seen. Can't hit chic throwing in the 50s tonight. Just damn embarrassing.
