Stovall has a strong arm... why not LA at SS, gridley at 2b, and Stovall at 3b?

Just bad baserunning. We will likely never score 5 runs anyway without giving away outs.

How did Blaylock start over Poole? And if we have another defensive option that could replace Rooker we should do it and move him to DH.

I actually thought Rooker was going to be our first basemen this year with Bragg DH'ing, but you can flip those two. Poole needs to be in the outfield. And I wouldn't mind Cody Brown and Blaylock platooning in LF, not sure why we moved him to 1B. Can't have Marrero at DH. That was just baffling and now everyone can see why a couple of us were scratching our head pre-game.

I concur. Take away those mistakes from Pilk and this is totally diff game. I think Barton has done a very good job so far. Just needs to keep the ball down.

The problem is pilk is our #1 and he still can't make it thru a lineup 2 times. This year is gonna be bad if pilk can't learn how to navigate to the 6-7th inning

Please stop this narrative. You have been saying it for 2 years. Gridley is our SS. He started almost every game there last year. He is very solid. He misplayed a ball today, but he makes almost all of the routine plays.

I disagree. At no point last year could Collins turn a double play by himself.

2 balls he missed bc of lack of range. I think this is a huge deal... we have a very suspect pitching staff and a big time SS could be huge
