DD Howie - trending back to OM

Bowie is signing with Ole Miss. We were never gonna get all three of our 3 final guys, hell we may not get two.

No reason not to get Gay and Odom. We always knew Bowie would be a tough pull when it came down to the end. Without the fact that UNM's program is about to be dismantled by the NCAA and Freeze will not be coaching there probably even as early as this Fall, we would not be in the game with him. If we lose him I'm just more irritated that we didn't meet our needs at WR than I am we didn't get DD.

I wouldn't consider our class botched if we don't sign Bowie, but if the situation were reversed and we were headed for the guillotine, there's no way we'd retain him.
