    Odom had to leave early. His sister went into labor. That was the story. I hope it's true. Leaving early was not in Mullen's plans I'm sure. I'm assuming we could make up the time we were supposed to get as I think there is a certain number of hours a recruit can stay on campus during his official. Not sure if that happens if so though.

    Odom would be nice but I really want Rhodes. I think he has a lot of upside as a OT.

    That shouldn't take much confidence to be at that level. While Gay is a huge target for us he hasn't personally ever done anything to really give MSU fans any reason to be confident about him. Even going back to the time we thought he was committing to us and turned around and committed to the Plantation. He has never named us a leader and has always had some other school he is showing love (UNM, Michigan, LSU). Now its true that Kobe Jones did some of the same but he never committed to another school and he was not nearly as sought after as Gay is.

    God forbid it, but if we miss on gay, LB recruiting may be our biggest whiff this year. In a 3-4, you gotta have LBs and I only see 1 juco (if you consider sweat olb) and 1 HS (dunning)

    Let's face it, regardless of what happens with Gay, we failed to capitalize on the momentum of our strong finish over OM, their troubles, and our 7th straight bowl. If we couldn't close a few OL, WR, & LB with Key, Kylin, & Grantham coming in...we just suck at crootin and it may not ever get better. Good thing we develop better than most programs in the country.

    People that know much more than me feel good about Bowie, gay, and Rhodes. Hopefully they're right. That would be a pretty good pull at the end

    Thomas Johnston getting CB'd to om now. Their class isn't very good, but they're really addressing the hole at LB. I hope the NCAA issues hugh's show cause before next season bc if a few of these LBs work out they may be much improved
