Ron Polk II proved that MSU baseball just doesn't recruit itself. We still have to be very vigilant with our recruiting in baseball and Lane, Butch, Mingione, Cannizaro, and Coggin should get a lot of credit for that. There is no question in my mind we should be recruiting better in football than we are.
It doesn't recruit itself in the sense that players will come without interest or contact, but it absolutely does recruit itself in the sense that an offer to play at Mississippi State carries a lot of weight on its own.
Trying to argue that our football recruiting is in any way comparable to our baseball recruiting is insane.
