Did the team do this in the years he beat OM? I see no problem having an early practice and letting the team have the rest of the day off to enjoy Thanksgiving with their family.

Man I tell you. If you disagree with allowing kids spending time with family on Thanksgiving instead of practicing your priorities are messed up.

But....unless one practice makes our LBs into Johnnie Cooks and our DL into McPhee, P. Smith and C Jones....one practice will not matter.
They practice in the morning before being released. Can't practice more than that during the season. No classes to go to. Not sure why some think this is an issue.

Totally agree - some whine about UNM's culture and turn around ranting about our kids like they were slaves. Any of us who have served overseas or been away from our family's during the holidays know what a morale boost it is to have that contact. Good on Dan. Common sense leadership - if you can safely make the drive take some teammates (after practice) and go enjoy the afternoon with your loved ones.
How about some perspective here?

They do not have to be back until Friday. There were players going to NOLO. Players who are not from NOLO.

Just curious, we practiced Wednesday morning and then we will practice again Friday?
Btw, I don't see anything wrong with it. It is a big family holiday. The kids have been practicing all summer and fall.
So Saturdays topic will be the 90 mile bus drive, escorted by the MHP that will take all of 75-80 minutes.

They have a practice this morning. Then can stay for team meal or go home. Then they drive to Olive Branch tomorrow PM (so no 90 bus trip Sat AM). It's pretty close to their normal routine. This all people bitching to bitch.

Yeah...couldn't have anything to do with playing like shit and losing to S-Bama, UK & BYU.
Couldn't have anything to do with looking like hot garbage vs UMass.
Couldn't have anything to do with looking disinterested in a blowout first half at home vs AU.
Couldn't have anything to do with not stopping UPig one single play in an entire game.
Couldn't have anything to do with Holloway-up-the-middle while Aeris and others rode the bench, until Holloway got injured. Couldn't have anything to do with Dan having done the same damn thing with Perkins until he got injured and Dan was forced to use JRob, who then made Dan look good.
Couldn't have anything to do with the Country Club.
Couldn't have anything to do with us not being able to get and retain a DC who gets positive results under Dan.
Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that OM players have been quoted as saying we have come into the Egg Bowl the last few years looking like we weren't excited to be there.
No...if there are people frustrated with Dan after Saturday, it will be because we got blown out in one game, because those people are just that shallow.****

The reason we've lost the two years is Dan Mullen. He has coached scared in November for whatever reason and has been more interested in his next landing spot than winning the egg.

Saw a Clemson player this morning getting breakfast, and I live 2 hours away from where he should be at practice.... Based on that, Dabo must have released them so they're doomed to lose against USCe....
No, no - it must be that Swinney is whoring himself out, doesn't care, and is looking for another job....yep that's it.
