If Bowling Green goes 10-2 will y'all feel better?
because I really think they could go 10-2 pretty easily.

Umm, no. Do you realize how horrible it is to go scoreless in a half against anyone, much less a Bowling Green team that gave up 42 points and over 600 yards to ****ing Indiana.

That's a different topic.

fair enough. If we can win 3 more I'll be pretty happy with that one point win against BGSU.

This was Mullen's annual flat game against decent out of conference opponent that fanbase thinks we should kill.
2013: 21-20 over Bowling Green (current 5-2 and first place in MAC)
2012: 26-20 at Troy (who ended up 5-7, but was a top 10 offense, plus that was a road game
2011: 26-20 over Louisiana Tech, who was 8-5 (and three plays from being 11-1 regular season) and lost to TCU in bowl game
Ironically, we allowed exactly 20 points to all of those teams.

That Troy game was 30-24

This guy gets it. But let me fix it for you. ALL teams have games like this! Even the mighty elephants. Georgia State scored more than Ole Miss does that mean they are as good? No! Playing to the level of competition.

I feel fine regardless. I had this weird sense that we were never going to actually lose the game. I just wanted it to end. My thoughts on our team this year haven't really changed.

I knew BG was going to be tough before the season started. I'm glad we won but concerned that Dan reverted back to his Dansbury Stall. We should of put 40 on BG. Oh well I'll gladly take the win.

Also, that LA Tech team in 2011 averaged nearly 50 points a game.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

Don't forget the 2010 game against UAB, a 29-24 victory that we probably would have lost if we hadn't forced a fumble on a kickoff return. I'm thinking it was Michael Carr who forced the fumble.
2009 didn't really have a game like that, although 2-10 Vanderbilt did keep it close until the final minutes. That was a road game that everyone expected to be close, though.

Feel better? By that time, perhaps. That would be especially if we have 6-7 wins. But I'll still feel like we sat on a 21-13 lead after halftime like the issue was no longer in doubt.
-
I'll feel better if we get to six wins. It doesn't mean a thing if BG goes 10-2 and OkSt wins the B12 if we can't beat UK, Ark and OM.

I agree. All that would mean is that we were dumb enough to schedule four top ten SEC teams and add the MAC and Big 12 champions on top of that.
-
Yes, it wouldn't mean much. But I feel we are going to win 6.

I will agree with this. I will be pretty happy with 6 wins. I don't care if we win them all by 1 point.

Colorado State gave Bama hell. They were solidly in the game late in the 4th, then Bama realized they better get their heads out of their asses.
I'm still not happy with our coaching though. Adjustments are non-existent and we have no identity on offense. None.

I second that.

In 2009 it was Houston and we lost
