Mullen is Crooming himself. Hevesy and Knox are his McCorvey.
In any profession, you have to be able to adapt to situations. Mullen and Croom refused to adapt and therefore appear to both having the same fates.
They shoul have been gone two years ago, and we are suffering the consequences from it.
After 2016, at the very least, Strick is gonna have to say they go or you all go.
It's so blatantly obvious that we were right all along about Hev and Co.
    Gonzo can stay

They did their job on the first series. Even on the run with Holloway on the first play, there was a lane to the outside but he didn't take it

    Hope is powerful thing.
In his tenure, Dan's won 1 game he shouldn't have (LSU) and lost 1 game he shouldn't have(USA).
Doesn't give me much hope for this team.

I will take issue with one of your points.
I think we have several SEC TBs, we just don't play them or don't play them at TB.

Dan's biggest mistake yesterday was one he and Jackie share. They don't make their teams play every game with intensity.
Saban would've been throwing tables in the locker room at halftime. Wonder what Dan's demeanor was?

We lost to a Sun Belt team without 3 starting DL. We miss Day as much as Dak.
    Our best FB plays QB.
Our best slot WR is our starting TB.
Our best TB plays slot WR
Our best QB may be the guy from "Last Chance U".
USAs QB was better prepared than ours.

I think he's slowly becoming an Eric Reid type safety (but stands for the national anthem).

Out offense needs to be flushed. The OL is not good, but they didn't completely suck. Williams is an awful QB. I don't care if he can run or throw a bubble screen. He missed receivers by 10 yards in the wrong direction at times.

We need to play the freshmen at running back. Let Gibson and Murphy have a shot. What can it hurt? We already lost to the worst Sun Belt team.

Give the ball to Mixon more. The guy can catch and he can clearly make things happen. Get him involved.

Give D Thomas shorter routes, and get the ball in his hands. He's an ankle breaker, not a deep field threat.

Let Couch replace Bear. Couch is a tall, physical receiver. We need his presence more. Gray and Miles are not outside threats. They may be fast, but they aren't physical enough to man handle dbs off the line.

If we can find any sort of offense, we'll beat South Carolina. If we put Williams back out there and miss every pass, then you'll hear boos from the peanut gallery.
All good point and yes a coach who would wakeup this morning and say Oh S#$% we need to make some changes would do this. Butttt as everyone already knows' Dan isn't that coach. See 2013, Tyler and perkins.

I think when you have Williams at QB and Holloway making inside runs you have to say it's play calling. Alabama's OL couldnt block for Holloway inside runs. When you have a head coach calling the plays that doesn't give a shit, it makes everything look like shit.

What? Just 2 weeks ago we had people on here worrying about Tiano stealing the great Fitz's playing time and causing him to transfer.

Me too! I didn't understand why we came out passing, I realize we were trying to build confidence but it backfired. I think we would have worn down South but passing shorten there game on defense with so many three and outs.

Now he can't play?? I know there is more to O-line than good feet, agility, or strength, but the coaches must not teach very well if he isn't ready by now with the intellectual side of O-line.

I guess I wonder if it is the coaching more than the players? To add to that: It takes us much longer to get 4* players ready to play than it seems to take other schools (i.e. Peters, Rankin, etc.)

Not that we're setting the recruiting world on fire by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought the 2015 class was a good haul.
True freshman qb at bama could get ready to play...why can't we get juniors and seniors ready to play...and it's got nothing to do with talent

I've been a major Mullen supporter until the LSU game last year. One thing I haven't seen mentioned, tho I haven't read all these threads, is the fact that Mullen thought we had an extra timeout at the end of the game. He was planning to run another play and then call a third timeout. He had his offense together and asked the ref "we have one timeout left, right?"
When told he didn't he asked someone else and then sent the FG unit out. Not that it means much but it shows how he struggles when it's nut cuttin time. And that hasn't improved one bit since game 1 eight years ago.

Holy ****ing shit I had to whipe spit off the tv when that was happening I was cussing Mullen so bad. What the flying ****...had no clue we had used all our timeouts. ****** short wearing gomer ****.

Yep.. Players grind and are All In to a program when their coaches ( head coach ) grind and are All In...
No question we don't have the talent of Bama and the bigger boys, but we have talent here..

    2. Regardless of position, when it comes down to game on the line, we are going to choke. Yesterday it was our kicker missing a glorified extra point. In the past it's been things like Shump dropping a two pt conversion, Leon Berry dropping a wide open pass against AU to put us in FG range, not being able to get a first down to run out the clock, piss poor time mgt from the coaches, and on and on and on. We have no mental toughness. When the going gets tough, we drop our pants and defecate all in the bed.

I tried to kid myself that getting James and Simmons back next week will help, but I can't do it. We have no heart and no balls. If it means firing the smirker to fix that then do it today. No excuse for yesterday. None.
No mental toughness is our program. Starts with our AD which allows it from our HC. The kids take or go as far as what the leadership gives them. Right now it's ***** city.

When Mullen took the beat TSUN in XXX days sign down, said we moved to other things, I knew he had lost his edge. Not surprising. Pro players turn soft when they get that big deal, Mullen's drive left us when we gave him the 4 mil.

Haha, Mullen as a TV personality....funniest thing I have heard in a while.

Dang, I have posted most of what Random Poster just posted but it took me all afternoon across about 25 different threads using about 75 different posts. Am I half as football smart as Dan yet?

Especially that last one that Damian made to get us to the 20. He had 1 man to beat and couldn't. Just not fast.

And the way Tiano trucked Richie Brown three times in the spring game I would have loved to see him make that run!

Im beginning to wonder if we'd be a better defense plugging Gerri in for Richie. Richie seems to get trucked a lot.

Damn fellow, you going to trash Richie Brown? I think Richie has proved He is a very good LB. He seems to Me he trucks more than he gets trucked. He has played for three different DC. How do you know Gerri can Make the calls that Richie does. Go find another player to negative about.
