    ESPN's John Saunders died...

I believe they said he was 61. He was a good commentator.

Wikipedia (take for what it's worth) says he died of AIDS. Is that accurate?

Saunders was a great commentator. I suspect foul play. ESPN has been "cleaning house" lately. Everyone retiring or leaving for other networks and all...

I believe he was play-by-play at the Vandy basketball game in Starkville this year. I've watched that game a few times and remember thinking that he didn't sound like he was in good health. He got fired up when Q hit the game winner but he wasn't the same. Good announcer, Espn isn't the same anymore....

You're probably thinking of the right guy. That's why I was surprised he played college hockey. African American gentleman.
