Wondering Out Loud if Shump will see any D time

Def has the physical skills to play some LB. don't know about instincts and doesn't have the exp.

I feel like they would have tried that in spring camp if they wanted to try it out

Nope. We are good at LB.

While we're on it, don't look for Dear to play RB. And don't look for any of our current QB's to play TE. Let's see, what else, I guess Gerri Green won't be moving to Viper either.

Think Jordan Thomas will play oline? Think we'll see the diamond formation?**

Come on now, it wouldn't be summer if we didn't try to change the position of every single player on the team from our armchairs.

I thought linebacker would be his best spot when I saw him in HS.

This is the funniest one, because obviously we're not going to covert Jordan Thomas to an OT until he only has one year of eligibility left, after mostly sitting the bench as a TE. It's absurd to think about moving him now.** (at least i hope it's **)

No, but lot's of special team play.
Not only did Mississippi State embarrass LSU on this night. Davis Wade Stadium wrecked Tiger Stadium in music choice, atmosphere and, most of all, volume.

Shumpert needs to be a fullback. Let him block for the QB and other RBs. Let him catch passes out of the backfield. But do not let him be the primary RB. Dude trips over his own feet way to much.

I would probably bet money that shump is the running back on our first offensive play of the season. Hopefully he'll be replaced when I've returned to my seat after vomiting.

My gosh how much do we have to see? I want to see shump play a lot. On kickoff. Kickoff return. Punt. Punt block. Fg, and fg block. He can contribute a lot in those facets. But that's about it. He just doesn't have it. You don't get faster and more explosive your junior year.

He would start at LB at a lot of colleges......but not at LBU (State). Our LB's are too good top to bottom.

Green, Brown, Lewis and Jung.......He provide some depth but won't play much.

I want him to come out and be magical. I hope he finds what he has been missing and look to shake and bake.

The only "D" Shump will see on the field is when the opposing player comes up to try to make a tackle. Wish him and the O-line the best this year. Put the best on the field no matter who they are, then if adjustments are needed, make them asap.
