Hugh Freeze is difficult to figure out
Check out this tweet: https://twitter.com/zacellis/status/753631440928174080
Wonder if Les hung up the phone and said, "wtf did he call me, who t f does he think he is?"
1. Freeze is a professional talker. This is similar to OBama when in front of a microphone. He's smooth, prepared, and is an ace at portraying innocence.
2. He is as self consciousness of a 12 year old girl. Cares way to much about what people think. He desperately above all else wants to be liked.
3. He's a professional liar. As a professional talker, he has the media wrapped around his finger, but he is different, almost psychotic away from the microphone.
4. I can't figure out if he has a conscience or not. We have actual stories, some on the record and some off, of him running a systematic cheating scheme at Ole Miss, however, as a professional talker, he's able to get away with the innocent card. Not sure where is mind is.
5. He's arrogant beyond all recognition. He knows he can fool people and takes pride in it. This actually makes him a good recruiter. Mullen has more substance, but terribly lacks in this category.
This guy is a professional politician but I can't figure out his personality. He's definitely got some Jeffery Dahmer in him.

This stuff just keeps getting weirder.
1) why do that at all?
2) why do that then talk about doing that?
Maybe he gave les some advice on game planning?
-
Why would he call his real rival?

He's gonna break one of these days and it won't be purty.
Christianity vs Rebelism

I like how he said he gets inquiries from NFL staffs about his offense - apparently he is the golden guru of football now.

You would think but Freeze is an Oscar caliber actor.

That's got to be among the most boldface lies he's told. No one in the NFL is interested in a 6 play cookie cutter offense.

I don't think Freeze is acting. I think he's a narcissist and maybe somewhat of a sociopath. He's not struggling because he's trying to maintain a public persona at odds with his private persona. Very few people that pull off something like he is pulling off without believing their own bullshit. He really thinks that what he's doing isn't cheating (and not in the sense that he feels like players should be payed so there's no harm; I think he really believes that what they do basically falls in an unidentified exception that should apply to him for whatever reason) and I think is actually surprised and bothered that other coaches think of him as dirty. He's actually struggling because he feels like he's not getting the admiration he deserves and he really doesn't understand why he is being singled out for no reason, so the only explanation is that it is a test from god or the devil.

Freeze is a classic sociopath....no conscience...a charmer who believes his own lies....really a dangerous human being.

They must be blown away by those well placed bubble screens.

I just wish someone would ask him a simple question like "Coach Freeze, you met with a recruit with a booster present on more than one occasion. You had to know this broke some of the most basic NCAA recruiting rules so how do you pass this off as a "mistake"??

To me, he is the exact type of personality that you get with a Jim Bakker or Jimmy Swaggert, folks that feel they are doing the Lord's work and no matter what their actions are (right or wrong) they always have it justified in their own mind so that they seemingly feel very little guilt about it and will claim innocence until they are shown to be a liar, backed in a corner and they finally know the gig is up. So far with this Freeze is essentially skating by with either claiming ignorance or that the staff didn't cheat but made some "mistakes". Will be very difficult to ever pin him down to where he would admit to anything he has done or known about as actual cheating.

I was going to post the same thing about Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart. Those that remember those two will remember how they acted before the facts were exposed. Smug and confident. Then, epic meltdowns.

Any time a grown man says that another grow man wrote a sweet letter to him something is wrong with that man.

Wonder if they taught him to go for it on 4th and 1 in his own territory with only 3 minutes left in the half? OR put an All-American DE in as a RB?

Freeze is not difficult to figure out. He is simply an egotistical dipshit that goes out of his way to manipulate as many people he can to look at him as nothing less than perfection.

Well Gus Malzhan and Art Briles have made similar claims. Maybe a team or two in the NFL has asked some questions, maybe not.

I use to think he was always doing things on purpose a few years back but at this point I think he just really believes in what he is saying. I mean the man does the oddest things. Calling other coaches to make sure you have them backing you through ncaa cases, still having phone conversations with Chris Jones supposedly, creeping around highschools for talent and having to be escorted off when families don't want him present. I think he just really is drinking his own koolaid. You described him perfectly.

"So, coach, tell us about your bubble screens..." *proceeds to set the phone down and go take a nap*
