Fundamentally sound teams beat this team's ass. FAU is a good example.
Have you watched this team at all?
I tend to agree with this.

So the top teams in the country aren't fundamentally sound? Gotcha.

Fans who blame our fans suck ass and are clueless. We had over 13K there for a 5 PM Friday night SR game. Fans did their parts. Cohen & the bats shit the bed.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

Saying their 3B was pitching is more than a little bit misleading. He is their #2 starter and it was his 10th win of the season. You think the guy who plays 3rd in the 17 or 18 games he's taken the hill this season has never seen a bunt? Especially in practice with a team that does it all the time? Dropping a bunt in that game against that team would turn out about as well as when Mullen tried to run the triple option against Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl.

Ours is not, that's for damn sure. And that's not coaching, it's just the talent we have. We elected to go with an offensive team this year (which was the correct call). But we aren't tailor made for DNF.

Bunting is Robson's game. Is it not?

Collins has to look for a pitch in a certain location and take if it isn't there. Collins swung at a pitcher's pitch when he didn't have to. We have to be more selective
Collins needs to get a little closer to the plate. IMHO

So it would have turned out about as well as Not dropping a bunt did?

We are going to find out. We have the talent and the arms, but I don't think we have the grit. We'll see how tough they really are, and I hope either you or I are here 24 hours from now to take our medicine, whoever ends up being right.

We're a good team, not a great team. Just about every year the draft is gonna rake us. It's extremely, extremely difficult to be great, even for one season in this league.

Alright alright everybody calm the hell down! We don't need an ED meltdown. That boy from Arizona pitched the game of his life, that's it. Yes we left runners stranded. Yes we batted like shit. This game was just a big pile of stinky shit, lets flush it like the giant pile that it was and start off new tomorrow.

We're below average (sec terms) in range defensively at 3b, LF, SS, and 1b. I really hate low scoring, defensive games

I'm in. See y'all tomorrow. I sure wish we could pull this out. That Omaha run was some of the best message board days.

I'm taking blame for this one I haven't watched a game on tv all season and today I did. My wife said we were screwing up and should be listening to the radio. Oh and you better be drinking tomorrow

So he is their closer and their number two starter? He had only started five games all year and they had pitched him 134 pitches tonight. He isn't pitching the rest of the weekend. They don't have a lot of pitching depth and I think our pen is better. If we force a game three, we win. We have three starters left in Sexton, Houston, and Pilk. I think they we see their ace tomorrow. I don't think they win it in three.
