Their big board has Hudson 14th best prospect.

i think the Braves take Kyle Lewis. would be a power hitting OF by 2018, which they desperately need. but Riley Pint is the kind of arm they covet. interesting pick between clear need in a dire situation, and arrogantly setting yourself up for a dynasty while last in baseball.

Hearing they may go Ian Anderson, under sign him to save on the draft pool, and try to get Goome later and sign him for close to his asking price. I would like a bat as well though and before that seemed to be where they are going.

and i'm doubly wrong. they go underslot with Anderson. he will sign for underslot and they will use the money on a later pick, probably Groome.

So the MLB draft already knocked a Vandy and a LSU recruit off the board. Going heavy high school prospects so far.

They suggested Nate Lowe would likely go rounds 4-8 or so. He gone.

They have been pretty wrong so far with a very heavy high school draft. I would take what the guy said with a grain of salt.

In fact, this slot money the MLB teams are abusing is going to hurt the college game more and more. I think in the next five years if the NCAA doesn't work with the MLB to fix this, college baseball as we know it will get robbed of more and more talent. I don't like this Rounds 1-10 system they are using now as more and more teams are shafting the college kids and drafting the high school kids in the higher rounds. They can shaft the college kids and give the high school kids more money. I also hate the fact that if your a senior you get shit on because you have no leverage.

Think about this. Everyone said Puk was number 1 Puk was number 1 sure fire number 1. Five high schoolers picked and Puk taken sixth. Just shit.

Yeah seniors have absolutely no leverage at all. They can draft you whenever they want and nothing you can do about it. They're making it harder and harder for kids to go to college to play ball and with the limited scholarships it's even worse.

And Hudson has dropped into the 20s and was supposed to be between an 8-18 pick in the first round. I get drafting Pint because he touched 102 but how Hudson has fallen this far with a plus fastball, curveball, and a plus cutter is beyond me.

The experts have missed pretty good on the picks so far. I kept hearing Dakota was top 10-15.

So a Wake Forrest pitcher taken over Dakota? Wonder if he was the kid playing against A&M when they scored 22.

I mean, there have been about 20 picks. They've been wrong by a few picks, we haven't even had a full round yet.

Anything can happen, but the fact that they believe he's rated there means he's probably gone.

It was a typo. He is a 3rd/1st baseman

Except MLB Network, who nailed exactly where he was picked.
