Haha the run rule is going to mess up Cohen's attempt to get guys some work. Face palm incoming. You have to keep it under 10 after 7, John.

I'm in total agreement.

I made fun of Vandy over the 10 run rule. Has it ever happened to us? UNM may win this thing and then declare themselves a baseball school all along and never really cared about football anyway!

I like that we won't face SEC teams next weekend...so I think we will win our Regional, and possibly Super. But we ain't winning in Omaha, bc the SEC is locked and loaded on our pitching. That's the way I see it.

My point earlier. Someone has figured out our two best starters.

I don't think our pitching is the issue. Hudson and Sexton have gotten hit all year, even in their best outings. The difference is, in those outings, we didn't have the questionable fielder placement and make errors left and right like we have seen this week. Our pitching staffs' success depends on 1.) not walking batters, and 2.) fielding cleanly and getting batters out.

I disagree. Fielding has been the issue this week, and in Hudson's and Sexton's worst outings.

We've had 8 errors in 3 games this week, which is very uncharacteristic.

Tough question here guys?
Worse breaking ball hitter, Rooker or Humphreys?

Rooker has to get out of that slump. Goes down swinging on 3 pitches.

This was correct for last night with the errors and all of the seeing eye singles against Hudson. Sexton just wasn't on and we also still didn't get to balls and have made errors as well. We will clean this up and be locked and loaded for the "run". We are built to win the championship when we have all three phases working.

Yes, and a Belmont sighting to boot. LA grounds out to end the inning.

This may be unpopular, but we likely don't sweep Arkansas and win the SEC if it wasn't for all their bone headed plays and errors. We look like Arkansas right now.

And both nights we really have been a bit unlucky with balls being hit right at guys. Especially tonight. Let's get it out of our system this weekend.

Once again, guys, this means absolutely nothing.
In 2013, we got shelled by Vandy in the SECT. We then lost to Central Arkansas in the regional...before winning 5 straight against Virginia, Oregon State, and Indiana.
In 2012, we won the SECT, beating LSU twice and Vandy along the way...before losing twice to Samford in the regional.
In 2011, we lost our first two in the SECT...before easily winning a regional on the road and almost taking #2 Florida in the SR.
This. doesn't. matter. At all.

Meh, not so sure about that. Pitching is what gets you deep in tourney's,
for the most part. Our bp has ups and downs and no real closer. We're all over the place. Even Kyle Peterson said tonight that he wasn't sure about us because of the pitching and I agree. you're going to run into pitchers who can shut down our offense. We've go to pitch it better. There's no in between with Hudson. He's either great or bad.

And again, that doesn't mean it's fun watching us play like dog shit.
